HSBC GlobalLinker’s Privacy Policy governs the collection, use and protection of your personal information by HSBC GlobalLinker. All terms used but not defined herein shall have the meaning assigned to the same in the User Agreement/Terms of Use of HSBC GlobalLinker. Information we collect about you


Personal Information

HSBC GlobalLinker collects information which enhances your experience with us.


This ranges from identifiable information & linkable information We collect your personal information (“Personal Information”) as shared by members of your company and/or our partners to facilitate HSBC GlobalLinker group sign up activities and when you sign up on HSBC GlobalLinker to create your Account to become a HSBC GlobalLinker member (”Member”) and create your profile. Personal Information means and includes all information that can be linked to a specific individual or to identify any individual, such as name, address, mailing address, telephone number, e-mail address, and any and all details that may be requested while any Member visits or uses HSBC GlobalLinker.


Additional information about yourself, your business and Company, your contacts and other information, if included in your profile at your sole discretion, could enrich your experience on HSBC GlobalLinker. Your profile details may be shared with HSBC India for analytical purposes and to contact you in connection with its product and service offerings.


Device & log information


HSBC GlobalLinker collects or determines device & log information to analyze trends to help improve the overall experience               

When you view and interact with HSBC GlobalLinker pages, features, and functionality, including HSBC GlobalLinker mobile applications, features(like adding to your profile, participating in Groups and Company Buzz, uploading contacts, Chats etc) and platform technology (like “Share on HSBC GlobalLinker” buttons or third party applications), we also collect your IP address, browser type, operating system, mobile carrier, and your ISP, and receive the URLs of sites from which you arrive or leave HSBC GlobalLinker, or sites that have embedded HSBC GlobalLinker.




Through cookies and other technologies that allow us to recognize you, we customize your experience, and serve content, offers, features, information, messages, advertisements etc., on and off HSBC GlobalLinker, when you participate in initiatives offered by HSBC GlobalLinker or by third parties on HSBC GlobalLinker including surveys, polls or other third party research undertaken with your consent.

We may share information, as required, with our Affiliate Partners to help them offer you privileges and their services in the most appropriate manner.


In order to fulfill your requests for services that require payments, we may share your payment information with our payment processor(s)/payment gateway partner(s) and other fulfillment agencies.


In case, you declined such a request, you will be requested to input such details every time you need to connect with such third party sites for transacting.


Advertising and Web Beacons        


We may serve our own ads and may also allow third party advertisements and/or messages on HSBC GlobalLinker to Members and Visitors.


We may also include a file, called a Web beacon, for research and analysis of your site usage behavior.



How this information is used


We use Personal Information you provide to:

a.            display your profile to prospective and existing HSBC GlobalLinker Members, through searches within and outside HSBC GlobalLinker including in the form of your eBiz card, profile and in other forms to identify content and other inputs posted by you as a part of content contributed or other activities performed by you on HSBC GlobalLinker

b.            authenticate, administer your Account with us and to assist, support, orient, coach and to tailor/customize your experience on HSBC GlobalLinker through the presentation of, including but not limited to, contextually relevant content, offers, messages, advertisements etc.

c.             provide you Service(s)and/or promotional communications through email, SMS and other forms of communication including but not limited to and notices on HSBC GlobalLinker and based on your message preferences either directly or through HSBC India and/or our Affiliate Partners.

d.            connect you to other HSBC GlobalLinker and community Members to provide greater opportunities for you to grow the business of your Company

e.            Perform actions initiated by you & perform actions which will help you grow your business on HSBC GlobalLinker

f.             data analysis

g.            surveys, polls

h.            provide important communications and notices

i.              searches on and outside HSBC GlobalLinker

j.             resolving queries & other communication through our helpdesk

k.            to comply with legal matters      

l.              sharing relevant information with partner and third party-sites

m.           for you to communicate with other Members on HSBC GlobalLinker which may include, but is not limited to, messages, shares, comments with linked & un-linked Members, or outside HSBC GlobalLinker. All such content shared will be shared by you via HSBC GlobalLinker features and functions or with each other. Such content may be available for others to view unless specified & you are advised to exercise caution before posting content which you may deem to be confidential or violate your or any other Member rights.


Please note that we do not sell, rent, or otherwise provide Personal Information to third parties without your consent except where it is necessary to carry out your instructions (to process your payment information, for example) or to add efficiencies and economies to our systems and operating processes.


Your Information Choices


You may:

a.            Review, enhance or edit your Personal Information through your settings and your personal profile page

b.            Control the messages you receive fromHSBC GlobalLinker and other Members within and outside of your network on HSBC GlobalLinker

d.            Change your profile and manage your network on HSBC GlobalLinkerto control visibility and accessibility through HSBC GlobalLinker

f.             Control whether HSBC GlobalLinker uses your name and profile photo in social ads; and

g.            Close/Delete your HSBC GlobalLinker Account


Your obligations to other Members

Misuse and unlawful use of Member/User Information  


While using the Services offered on HSBC GlobalLinker you are also obligated to respect the information of other Members/users of HSBC GlobalLinker and not misuse the access you have through search, networking facilities and other means available on HSBC GlobalLinker. You must also endeavor to maintain confidentiality of other Member’s Personal Information and transactions if the same are shared with you.


In case of any abuse or alleged abuse of the privacy of other Members/users, HSBC GlobalLinker (DigiVation/HSBC India) reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to take appropriate action against you in accordance with the terms of the Terms of Use.


Important information


Consent to providing us your information


You consent that the information you provide us on HSBC GlobalLinker, about yourself or your business, is ‘authorized’ and voluntary on your part.


From time to time, we may add or enhance services available on HSBC GlobalLinker. To the extent these services are provided, and used by you, we will use the information you provide to facilitate the service requested. For example, if you email us with a question, we will use your email address, name, nature of the question, etc. to respond to your question. Company Admin Responsibilities  


The Company Admin of your Company will be provided additional controls to monitor Company information and activities and that of its Members. Your Company Admin may be acquainted with additional information regarding your use of Company related modules and functions on HSBC GlobalLinker.

In addition, the Company Admin will be able to allow, deny usage of functions and activities and also assign authority to the Members of the Company.


Modifications to HSBC GlobalLinker Privacy Policy       


We review our Privacy Policy from time to time, and we may make periodic changes to the policy in connection with that review. Therefore, you may wish to bookmark this page and/or periodically review this page to make sure you have the latest version.


Notice of all changes that materially affect ways in which your Personal Information may be used or shared will be posted in updates to our Privacy Policy. These changes will be enforced once posted in the HSBC GlobalLinker Privacy Policy.

Closing your HSBC GlobalLinker Account/Deletion of Personal Information

You may request to delete your account in two ways:

1. Via your Settings>Close Account

2. An email at via your registered email ID


You must ensure that you have cleared all your commitments and dues. 


Once you apply for a request your Personal Information is suitably deleted from HSBC GlobalLinker, except to comply with statutory and legal requirements. If any content is shared on the platform, these are retained. Only your identifiable information is deleted. In case you request complete deletion of your data, please send us a verifiable request at

Store Owners in addition, must also close all open orders and ensure there are no pending orders. You also need to provide an explicit consent that the store is free of any liabilities.

Any communication directed toward you will be routed to your latest communication address with us.
