Definition: Direct Marketing is direct selling to the ‘end user’ rather than a third party or a middle man like a retailer. It's a direct communication between the business and the final consumer.
Example: The boutique shawl owner decided to engage in 'Direct Marketing' by reaching out to past customers directly on call and via e-mail using her directory in a bid to drum up business.
Business Insight: Direct Marketing can be in the form of advertising, marketing or communications.
